A Faience Amulet from Rosh Ha-‘Ayin, Mizpe Afeq
(pp. 25*–26*)
Naomi Sidi
Keywords: Egypt, amulet, God
A Faience amulet, depicting the Egyptian deity Shu/Heh, was recovered from an archaeological context dating to the fourth century BCE at Rosh Ha-‘Ayin. Based on parallels found elsewhere in the counry, ranging in date from the Iron Age IIC to the Hellenistic period, it seems that the amulet from Rosh Ha-‘Ayin can be dated soundly to the Persian-Hellenistic context within which it was found.
